Master Maurizio Zanetti is the
International Technical Director and leader of the
"INTERNATIONAL LONGZHAO ASSOCIATION".
He is the only Westerner to have obtained the title of "Indoor
Student" of three great Chinese Masters.
He has been practicing since 1975, and teaches throughout
Italy, as well as in France, Spain, Malta, the United Arab
Emirates, the United States of America, Colombia and Brazil.
Through workshops and courses he conducts, thousands of
practitioners have been able to approach "orthodox" Kungfu and
Taijiquan.
Today, hundreds of students from 5 continents follow his
teachings online.

Martial Path
1975 - 1985
1975
he began studying Meihuaquan, Yang Taijiquan and
Qigong, becoming one of the first students of the
GM° Chang Dsuyao.
He trains relentlessly to improve his skills.
1983
he was elected National President of the Italian
Kungfu Federation by Chang Dsuyao at the age of
26, a position he would hold until 1986.
While always ranking high in the Kungfu
Championships, in 1985,
he takes part in the Italian Tournament Kungfu
Federation, which saw him first place in both
Taolu and free fighting.
1986 - 1990
1986
he participated in the World Championships of
CKWPA in Taiwan.
In Taiwan he met Grandmaster Zhang Wuchen and his
disciple Weng Cheng Mao, which he then invited to
Italy to continue studying the ‘Meihuaquan’ style.
In the same year, with over 1000 members, he left
the FEIK to found the UIKC, with Qualification
Master 4° Duan.
From 1986 to 1990
was President of the Italian Kungfu Union, and
worked tirelessly for the development of Gongfu.
A strong
advocate of traditional styles, it has often been
in China to specialize in various styles and in
the Gongfu weapons.
In those years he begins his studies on Chen Taijiquan method in Peking, and in some Qigong sequences (Baduanjin, Yijingjin, Wuxingqi).
1990 as the President of the Italian Kungfu Union, founded the F.I.Wu.K. ( Italian Federation of Wushu Kungfu ).
1991 - 1995
He then
resigned from all federal/political offices, to
devote himself exclusively to the technical field.
He obtained the same year the rank of Black Belt
5° Duan.
From 1990 to 1994
was the Regional technical Manager for the wushu
sector.
1995 he became a
member of the National Commission of Research and
Development.
1996 - 2000
1997 he became a direct student of the GM° Zhong Lianbao Yantai (Leader of the 5th generation of the 7 Star Praying Mantis), which follows until 2001.
1998
he participated in the "World Wushu" in
Philippines.
he obtained the rank of Blackbelt 6° Duan.
2001 - 2005
Dal 2002
continues the study of the Qixing Tanglangquan
following the orthodox method of the GM° Lin
Dongzhu (grandson of the famous GM° Lin Jingshan).
he became a member of the "Yantai Qixing
Tanglangquan Association Council".
E' il 2004
when Shifu Zanetti becomes direct student of
master Guan Tieyun of the Wuxing Tongbeiquan
Style, which follows until 2013.
The same year he invites to Italy Sifu Tang Tung
Wing, a disciple of GM° Tang Kwok Wah for the Hung
Gar style, of GM° Liu Jingru for Baguazhang and
Liuhe Tanglang, and of GM° Wang Xi'An for the Chen
Taijiquan style.
He also concentrate in studying Qigong of Chen
Taijiquan Style.
Master Zanetti is appointed by Sifu Tang,
HeadMaster of "Tang's Hung Gar Gongfu Association
- Italy Branch".
Master Tang introduces him to the GM° Liu Jingru,
with which deepens the styles Liuhe Tanglangquan
and Baguazhang.
2006 - 2010
2006
the GM° Liu Jingru accepts Shifu Zanetti as his
indoor disciple (Tudi), naming him "brother of 5°
generation.
2010 M° Zanetti was appointed member of the
"National Commission on Traditional Styles of
Italian Kungfu Federation.
he will attend the Training Course SNAQ Level 1 at
the Olympic Preparation Center "G. Onesti" of
Rome.
2011 - 2015
2011 Grand Master
Lin Dongzhu appointed him his sole representative
in Italy.
He studied the ancient Lohan Qigong sequence.
In the same year, he attended the Level 2 SNaQ
Training Course at the "G. Onesti" Olympic Center
in Rome.
2013
Grandmaster Lin Dongzhu accepted Shifu
Zanetti as his 9th Generation internal
disciple (the only one in Europe).
He invited Master Kuang Haijun, a disciple
of Grandmaster Zhang Shaotang of the very
rare Li Pai Taijiquan style, to Italy. He
recognized the Longzhao Association as the
official representative for Italy and the
only European association authorized to
transmit it.
He was appointed National Technical Director of Traditional Styles F.I.Wu.K., and published the book on the Qixing Tanglangquan style.
2014
, he published a book on Hung Gar.
He studied the Qigong sequences of the
Chinese Health Qigong Association.
In the same year, he attended the SNaQ
Level 3 Training Course at the "G. Onesti"
Olympic Center in Rome.
2015
he published his book on Yang Taijiquan.
His book on Qixing Tanglangquan was
included in the Tanglangquan publication
of the city of Layang, as the most
comprehensive foreign book on the style.
The World Organization of Wushu Kung Fu
Masters awarded him the rank of Master 8th
Duan.
2016 - 2020
2017
he published his fourth book, "The Training
Methods of the 72 Shaolin Arts".
In 2018, he published his fifth book, "Tui
Shou: A Complete and Detailed Study of Taijiquan
Tui Shou." In the same year, he was elected
"Grandmaster of the Year 2018" by the Hall of Fame
of Grandmasters.
2021 - 2025
2022 he
specializes in Duan Bing and Chang Bing of the
Jian Gong Academy of Master Ma Lianzhen.
2023 he was appointed a member of the
National Commission for Traditional Styles of
F.I.Wu.K.
2024 He was awarded the prestigious "Golden Duan of Merit sportsman" recognition by the F.I.Wu.K. and the European Wushu Federation.
