Chen Taijiquan

The traditional Chen style has maintained a martial spirit more evident than what can be found in the styles derived from it.
The two peculiar characteristics are the zhansi jin (缠 丝 劲), a particular way to use force through spiral movements, and the fajin (发 劲), a technique to emit the internal force in an explosive way, through the coordination of the breath with an extremely relaxed movement.
Although the historical origins of Taijiquan are rooted in Buddhist philosophy, with time this art has drawn many aspects from Daoism.
Thus all the movements of taijiquan follow the alternation of opposites, and this way of acting is also the basis of the martial system.
The Chen Taijiquan style disclosed by our Association is that of the GM° Wang Xi'An, as representatives of his disciple GM° Tang Tungwing..
